Our Small Business Development program for Mothers raising children with Cerebral Palsy is back!

In our years of working with families of children with Cerebral Palsy, a common trend is that because of the combined factors of the time required to provide adequate care for their children and the stigma associated with disability in this part of the world, many mothers are unable to hold down traditional 9-5 jobs alongside caring for their children.

To earn an income, many of these mothers turn to small businesses as a solution.

However, because many of them are ‘accidental’ business owners, they go into the business without having the requisite knowledge and skill to sustain, grow and scale these businesses.

When businesses fail to thrive, their children bear the brunt.

The Business Development Program themed “Empowered Parent, Thriving Child” bridges this gap by providing mothers with knowledge in the following areas:

• Business Pricing and Bookkeeping
• Customer Acquisition and Customer Service
• Digital Marketing
• Saving for Investments
• Pitching your business for investments.

46 mothers from 4 previous classes have proven our hypothesis right, that when mothers are empowered, their children thrive.
