We designed and published the Nigerian Disability Employment Manual which is currently used by recruiting organizations such as Jobberman Nigeria and Enterprise Development Center – Pan Atlantic University with over 70,000 employers, over 2 million employees and over 100,000 small medium business owners across West Africa. Currently, we are providing capacity building workshops for Nigerian employers of labour to motivate employers to hire accessibility related business settings for persons with disabilities in the Nigerian workplace. Jobberman Nigeria is partnering with Special Needs Initiative For Growth to train youths with visual impairment, down syndrome and autism on employment soft skills for productivity. They will also be connected to employment opportunities after the training.

The project is in it’s fourth year and it is alleviating poverty and promoting inclusive economic opportunities for 10 low-income mothers of children and youths with Cerebral Palsy across Nigeria. In collaboration with the Let CP Kids Learn Foundation, we are strengthening the educational outcomes of 10 children and youths with Cerebral Palsy through STEM and Robotics Learning.

Under the auspices of the European Union External Action Service and Global Exchange on Religion in Society (GERIS), the Special Needs Initiative for Growth in collaboration with the Blog4SDGs are conducting the multi-cultural dialogue program to engage civil society practitioners, policy stakeholders and governments in critical discussions on civil society issues affecting them.
It is a virtual platform for youths and policy stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and support each other through mutual ideas that promote dissemination of positive experiences and coexistence among youths of different faiths and none. The program is tagged “Intercultural Civil Convention”. The program focuses on three thematic areas such as “Inter-faith issues, Youth with Disability Issues and Education Issues”.
